I’m an Animator, Illustrator, Multimedia Designer
based in Wellington, Aotearoa. Since receiving my
Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Media Production from
Massey University in 2019, I’ve been working full-time
as a freelance Digital Animator. My passion for art
was cultivated at a young age at Kura Kaupapa
and it remains at the heart of everything I do.
I use Animation, Motion Graphics and storytelling
as a tool to encourage people to stop, engage, and reflect. My work draws inspiration from my whakapapa and my experiences, helping me to craft stories that engage with people in meaningful and exciting ways.
I have collaborated and with studios on projects both internationally and domestically, some of which include “He Korero” a Māori web series; “Wellington City Matariki” projection mapped animation on the side of the national Museum ‘Te Papa’; and worked internationally with ‘Drumsongfilms’ an indigenous Alaskan collective on delivering work that has since gone on to win multiple awards for excellences for short film, documentaries and music videos.
As an animator, I see a deep desire for people to tell their stories through this medium. My mission is to support and empower others to bring Māori narratives to life in ways that are bold, uplifting, and uniquely ours.
