Developed in 2022 in celebration of the new, nationally recognised, indigenous public holiday “Matariki.” Wellington City Council signalled the ongoing commitment by commissioning STORYBOX to create a brand new projection onto the side of “Te Papa” The National Museum of New Zealand. In collaboration with Ngati Toa the work is inspiring, uplifting and educational, telling the origin stories of matariki and the people that settled here in Pōneke.
