Client: Twisted FrequencyRoles: Logo Animation2024/Freelance
Twisted Frequency, known for their zero-waste, community-driven music festival, approached me with a challenge: their logo needed more energy to truly reflect the spirit of their event. They wanted to bring it to life through animation.
To begin, I worked closely with them to define what the animation should achieve. It became clear that the logo needed to embody what mattered most to them—their love of nature and the music community.
Using their existing logo as a foundation,
I focused on its unique segmented design,
which naturally resembled leaf-like shapes.
Leaning into this, I animated each segment as if
it were a leaf blowing in the wind, reinforcing the festival’s strong ties to nature.
For the music aspect, I drew inspiration from the visual language of electronic sound—audio waves. The wind-blown leaves needed a point of origin,
so I had them explode outward from an energetic frequency, seamlessly tying in the festival’s musical roots.
They loved the concept, and I brought it to life using traditional frame-by-frame animation. The final piece perfectly captured their brand’s energy and essence.
This project was both exciting and rewarding—an opportunity to explore how movement can reinforce brand identity in a unique and meaningful way.
